The world belongs to the energetic.
How hard is hard? If 3% is the idea and 97% is hard work, what do you need to do to succeed? Is there a difference between working hard vs. working smart?
Working smarter, not harder, is an age-old adage. But sometimes the problem is that we tend to group the choices as either one or the other. As an entrepreneur you have to make smart decisions of course however it is certainly not a substitute for working hard and putting in the gruelling and unforgiving time.
In addition there are numerous other factors to take into account as well. Ingenuity, risk, vision etc all play a part but work in combination with working smart and hard.
Overall you may make a smart decision but to achieve the outcome of it, one might need to plug away for hours emailing, developing proposals, pitching. These certainly cannot be mutually exclusive.
What do you think? How do you work smarter? Can there ever be a balance between the two?
